Day 1-2

Depart UK & arrive in Cusco

Day 3-4

Spend 2 days getting to know the city & acclimatising to the higher       altitude (over 3500m)

Day 5-9

Spend the next 5 days working on the Azul Wasi project. As well as been a volunteer on the project I will have the oprtunity to learn all about the people of these Andean communities

Day 10

A day spent in Cusco relaxing

Day 11

Make our way to Huaran to prepare for trek

Day 12-15

Spend 4 days hiking the Lares trek. The route passes through mountain villages, high alpine passes & offers spectacular views of the Andes

Day 16

Complete trek & spend the day in Ollantaytambo exploring the ancient Inca ruins

Day 17-18

Travel to Aguas Calientes & prepare for Machu Picchu.

This is one of the great wonders of the world

Day 19

Travel back to Cusco

Day 20-21

Depart Peru & return to the UK
